Rider For Uber Rides 3 35
I inadvertently accepted a rider with a 3.3 rating. I had already accepted it or otherwise I would have let it time out. I called him to see what he sounded like and ask him where he was since it only showed an address and I wasn't sure about the location. I figured any thing would be a ding on my rating. Sure enough he called me back to tell me where he was again even though I was about 2 blocks away.
When I picked him up he was 'whiny' middle aged guy. He asked me if I knew(mentioned a name) of his last Uber driver because he left something in the car. I told him I didn't know that guy but there was a way to contact uber through the rider app. He finally got to some function where he was able to leave a message for the driver. He left about a half dozen messages one after another for the driver and said that he could drop it off at his home 'on his route or on the way home' with his name and phone number. It's amazing to me how the riders think we are somehow obligated to return items they left in our car at our time and expense. I'm sure Uber supports this idea. It was a pretty long ride and the guy had a real pecuilar body odor that was masked by cologne. To make matters worse I couldn't roll the windows down because it was raining. He even told me I was going the wrong way when I was actually going the right way. Oh, and as you would suspect no tip, not that I would have expected one
I got a phone call and immediatelly canceled it because I'm sure he would have reported me to Uber that I took a call while on a trip. In almost 2 years of driving and almost 2000 trips this was my lowest rated driver. I think my curiosity got the best of me and what to see what you have to be, or do to get a 3.3 rating and at what point do you get kicked off.
